1. Who controls your data

SAFETY & MEDICAL MANUFACTURERS LIMITED, registered at Venter & Hull, Suite 16 Wicksteed Terrace, 225 Wicksteed Street, Wanganui, New Zealand, is the data controller. Contact us about privacy at support@safetymedicalmfg.com.

2. What we collect

• Account data: name and email when you sign up.
• Billing data: handled by our payment processor (Stripe); we do not store full card numbers.
• Usage data: the scenarios you generate and basic, privacy-respecting analytics to improve the service.
• Support data: messages you send us.

Please do not send sensitive health information about identifiable people. Firstaid is an information tool and does not need medical records to work.

3. Why we use it (legal bases)

To provide the service (contract), to keep it secure and improve it (legitimate interests), to process payments (contract), and to meet legal obligations. Where required, we rely on your consent and you may withdraw it at any time.

4. Your rights

• GDPR (EU/UK): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability, and objection.
• CCPA/CPRA (California): know, delete, correct, and opt out. We do not sell your personal information and do not share it for cross-context behavioural advertising.
• NZ Privacy Act 2020: access and correction of your personal information.

5. Retention & international transfers

We keep personal data only as long as needed for the purposes above, then delete or anonymise it. As a New Zealand company serving a global audience, data may be processed in other countries under appropriate safeguards.

We use reasonable technical and organisational measures to protect your data. No system is perfectly secure, but we work to keep yours safe.
